![]() ![]() The walk from the rear parking lot is over 1/4 mile from the entrance and dirt. People were moving and breaking barricades and blocking others. The did not close lanes or make one way traffic to flow the crowd out or in. There was literally not a single person directing traffic in or out. The parking could potentially be fine with some or ANY parking control people on staff. The only issue here is parking and traffic control. The security staff was impeccable! They did a amazing job of keeping people out of the isle and from standing at the gates in front of crowd blocking paying front row ticket holders views( this is a major issue at many places) they staff was friendly and did a good job of discerning between people blatantly breaking rules and people respectfully have a good time. ![]() It sounds incredible for the size of this venue, and the owners did not skimp on building it. The sound system here is obviously brand new, and is very high end. I know this is the first year of operation for this amphitheater and I know there is some kinks they'll work out. This is a review for the amphitheater only:Įxtremely impressed! I go to around 25-30 shows a year and have been to literally 100s of venues. I'd recommend this place as a one time visit, at least for the view from the meditation center as well as the quiet, green space even if, like me, you're not interested in the religious services that this place offers. And, it looks like they've regular mass there. The lower level has a bigger chapel with many pews. Apart from that, there were many panels, sculptures and marble art pieces placed along the garden path that told stories of Jesus and Joseph's sorrows & joys.I found these very interesting! There was also a very cute little chapel in the upper level. But, it wasn't much for meditation though. I liked the meditation building which is perched on a cliff, facing the valley in the north, yielding views of blue skies & St Helens on a clear day. I did not like that the only way to/from the upper level was via that 1 elevator, for the public that is.The upper level is essentially the space at the top of the hill. They give you coins for a turnstile which allows access to an elevator that takes you to the upper level. You can purchase them at the visitor center or the gift shop. To get to the upper levels, there is an admission fee of ~10$ per adult. ![]() The Grotto is a quiet, green and peaceful space! There are two levels - lower & upper. This was a surprise recommendation from a travel bog & I am glad that I checked it out. ![]()
